Demi, P!nk e Gwen Stefani e Blake Shelton também cantaram os seus sucessos no palco do Billboard Music Awards. Mas uma das apresentações mais esperadas era a de Kesha. Após dúvidas se ela conseguiria ou não cantar, a loira arrasou com o hit It Ain’t Me Babe, em homenagem a Bob Dylan
Como já era esperado, Rihanna fez sua primeira performance do álbum ANTI. Ela apresentou Love On The Brain, que rapidamente emocionou o público. Quando todos achavam que a premiação não podia ficar mais impressionante, Celine Dion subiu ao palco. A cantora, que perdeu o marido e o irmão no início do ano, recebeu das mãos de um dos filhos o prêmio Billboard Ícone.Emocionada, a cantora arrancou lágrimas de toda a plateia ao cantar The Show Must Go On e ao lembrar do seu companheiro: “Eu sei que ele continuará olhando por mim”.
Para fechar com tudo, Madonna apareceu sentada em um trono para homenagear o cantor Prince, que faleceu no começo do ano. De roxo, relembrando a canção Purple Rain, a rainha apresentou a música Nothing Compares 2 You. Também com usando roupas roxas, Stevie Wonder subiu ao palco para cantar com a loira.
